Peter,

After getting to finally get to the Tweak3D web page, with all the info it
has - first off, HOW did you find this unreal web page (unreal like in
unbelievably useful)??? Next, after trying to do a search on the page, how
did you find the msconfig program - I tried looking everywhere I could, but
could not find any areas on the site that would get me to the msconfig
program itself???

With regard to Partition Magic, other than using Fdisk, which basicly
destroys your hard drive, was wondering how you would be able to partition
a hard drive "on the fly"?? Partition Magic and similar products on the
market are the only ones I am aware of that will let you create, delete,
merge, and similar, partitions once one or more OSs have been installed and
up and running. I have been using the latest version 7 and it seems to work
absolutely great - the only restriction I have found with it is that it
will not handle a physical hard drive that has a total space of greater
than 80 Gigs. I would be very interested if you have any ways of doing
similar operations on partitions without using something like PM.

This may be a new feature in XP but I am using 98SE as well as 2K Pro.

As far as reparing, was wondering how you ran the repair setup rather than
the repair console??? Also, do you have greater control of operations
performed by way of the setup program rather than using the console???

Ralph

Ralph, I stopped using all the tweaker apps and rely on tweaking the system
on my own, from Partition Magic to XTeq and others I have had too many apps
mess with things I could.
I run SFC from the command prompt in win2k with some success, however if
things really bog down then I run the win2k repair setup, not the repair
console mind you.
