Netgear is a hardware firewall, a good choice (among many) if you have more than one computer, I personally recommend SMC's Barricade http://www.smc.com/index.cfm?action=products_show_description&productCode=SMC7004ABR. If you only have one computer then a software firewall like Zone Alarm http://www.zonelabs.com/zap26_za_grid.html or Tiny Personal Firewall http://www.tinysoftware.com/home/tiny?s=7624704724498608237A1&&pg=tpf_summary will do quite nicely, especially since they are free.
