Hi I`m having a problem with DUN crashing while I`m using mIRC.
My ISP, like many others, cuts me off after 2 hours. Normally the connection would come to an end, then automatically redial and reconnect. However in the last week when DUN disconnects a red cross covers the modem activity icon in the system tray and DUN refuses to reconnect. Manually connection won`t work either. When I Ctrl-Alt-Del I can see that `Rnaapp` is listed as `(Not responding)`. If I end task `Rnaapp` the computer crashes (PC resets, reloads Windows and scandisks any drives that were open at the time). Only mIRC causes this type of crash. I often use GetRight to download files and it can happily disconnect and reconnect without crashing. I have reinstalled Windows ME on top of itself in case any files were corrupt to no avail. I have also tried different versions of mIRC. Again no luck. As I like to download overnight with mIRC a crash every 2 hours is a major inconvenienence.
