Well first we need to know what OS you're using. So, without knowing that, I can only speak for win98 & ME.
Depends on just which icons you want to change. First, put your icons you've created in a folder. Then on some icons (particularly shortcut icons) you can right click and go to 'properties' then change icon, then nav. to your folder to select. Most windows icons are in the shell32.dll file, some are in 'explorer.exe'. You cannot open them by clicking them to see the icons, and I don't know how to add icons to them, I've never tried. But you don't really need to because you just nav. to those files to change an icon, and when you nav. to them, they will open and display the available icons. For other system icons, just go to 'display properties' and the 'effects' tab, and at the top you'll see 'change icon'. The when you click the button, nav. to your new folder (or shell32.dll, or explorer.exe, etc.). Shell32.dll is in the Windows 'system' folder. You can find other icons that are already on you PC that you probably don't know about by searching for *.ico but mind you the icons that are within explorer.exe and shell32.dll will not show up that way. -Clint God Bless Us All Clint Hamilton, Owner http://OrpheusComputing.com ----- Original Message ----- From: "Cindy Pavey" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> I have a program that allows me to make icons.
