Liz,  If your problem is still there, in your browser go to Tools/Internet 
Options/Advanced.  Scroll down to the sub-heading
'Multimedia' and make sure that 'Show Pictures' is checked.   I had this same problem 
a year or two ago and have no idea how
it occurred. HTH
