Hi all: Having a problem with locked memory increasing while playing music with Musicmatch or Windows Media player. The problem occurs when playing from library or CD.
The amount of locked memory gradually increases (hours) until the system starts freezing and intermittent buzzing in the sound, the problem occurs regardless of other applications activity. I increased the memory to 256 MB and it takes longer to get to the problem but same thing occurs. I have turned off all of the startup applications and unnecessary tasks...same situation. Once the locked memory increases it cannot be unlocked by stopping the music programs, only a reboot will reset it.
