Hey Gang,
I am wondering about what I thought was going to be a simple issue but
maybe not so simple after all.
I need to have Win98 SE, Win2K Pro, and WinXP Pro, all on the same
system. Originally, I thought I read in the Microsoft tech info that if
I installed 98 first, then 2K next, and finally XP, and put each in a
separate partition, that I would be able to have a tripe boot option
system. But I am wondering if I read or misread that. Also, since I will
be having an extended partition as well, for Dos and other logical
drives.

There are two ways.
1) You can install win98 first, then 2K next, and finally XP,
but assume your win98 crashes. In this case,You have to install win98
again ,then 2K next, and finally XP.
2)the second way (my favorite):
in this way ,if your win98 crashes, you don`t have to install
all your OSs.
Go to www.ranish.com and download "Ranish Partiton Manager"
(part242.exe or part243.exe ) and copy it in a win98-boot-disk.
Run your PC with the win98-boot-disk ,then run part243.exe .
first remove all your partition.
Now creat three "Primary Partition" .
Don`t forget to save changes( Click on F2).
Make the first "Primary Partition" Active(Bootable) by selecting it
and CLICKing on "B" key.
Reset ,then install the win98.
Reset ,and run your PC with the win98-boot-disk ,then run part243.exe .
Make the second "Primary Partition" Active by selecting it
and CLICKing on "B" key.
Reset ,then install the win2000.
Reset ,and run your PC with the win98-boot-disk ,then run part243.exe .
Make the third "Primary Partition" Active by selecting it
and CLICKing on "B" key.
Reset ,then install the winXP.
Ok.
Now for switching between your OSs ,you can use the win98-boot-disk
,then run part243.exe (by making Active its partition by selecting it
and CLICKing on "B" key.) .
Or
you can install a External "Boot Manager" like:
www.osloader.com (free)
http://www.xosl.org/ (Free)
Myself I don`t install a External "Boot Manager".
By Ranish ,you can also hide a partition .

Install all to FAT32 or use a virtual machine application like VMWare
www.vmware.com or Virtual PC www.connectix.com and all partitions can be
visible and you can have all running concurrently too. It's how I do it
for Linux, XP, 98, and 95. Oh and I have Mac OS 8.1 running under Basilisk2
http://basilisk2.cjb.net/
Have fun.
