As far as I can tell, the only way to do this is by editing the string in the registry. Whether or not you can use a hexidecimal editor to do this or not, I'm not really sure. If you open up the string: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\8.0\Common\UserInfo
you can view the info here, but whatever you do, do not try to change it by opening the UserName value and just typing in a new user name. If you do, you will get something that looks like gibberish when you open an application and look at the Help>About (Microsoft Office Application) I've found mention of this on other computer forums, but have yet to find a way to change this info. The only sure method, would be to re-install Office again.
