I believe you can select the message in the normal way and then right click to
select text. This will get rid of the HTML for that message.

Have a friend on AOL and she has been trying to copy and paste unto a new
  message --
  doing away with the Forwards.

She is running Windows XP and has the current AOL program.

She can highlight and click forward and get the forwarded message on top
but
  still has all
the attachments (emls). She said she is unable to delete anything from the
  message.

Anyone out there on AOL that can do this - b/c I have written instructions,
  without using
AOL myself, nothing seems to work. Apparently their mail program toolbar
  doesn't have
the features of Edit/Copy ---- I know since they have updated they only
have
  HTML format
now and no plain text. Can you highlight and right click outside of text
  and have a menu
come up and able to do a copy????

If it works - would you kindly write me an email with precise instructions
  for AOL (offlist)
and I will forward to her. We are trying to do away with forwards and
  attachments as stated
above. I have suggested using a cleaner.exe for email - would something
  like work with AOL??

  Thanks in advance, Charmaine
