Hi all. I need a good pop up blocker.. While I was downloading all the updates from Windows yesterday.. I had walked away from the computer. for about l/2 hour. In that time ALONE. I counted 12 pop-ups that I had to X out of..
This morning.. writing email. I've gotten about 8 of them already.. I just x out of them. but they are very annoying.
Any suggestions for a good one. Thanks so much.

Why don't you eventually consider a stand-alone email program, such as Eudora? You wouldn't get pop-ups with that, and with it's configuration options is much more secure than OE. The newest version includes a spam feature that many people are raving about.
As a former Netscape user, you would have no trouble scrapping IE for Mozilla--which blocks all pop-ups. Mozilla _is_ the browser part of Netscape. As far as I know, you can't really remove IE from your machine without causing problems, but you don't have to use it. I've not seen one pop-up with Mozilla, and have never encountered a web site that won't display with it.
I read where you said that you're trying to make yourself use all the new stuff that came on your new computer, but that's not always the wisest thing to do.
