XP-Pro contains a light (not full box version) backup program. XP-Home does not. You will need to obtain a third party backup program. I've wasted my money on a couple of them and in the end was not satisfied. I want one that will span CDR/RWs, verify backups, and come as close to Ghost (which I own and which did not work on my XP-Home/HP PC) or Image (which I am considering) as it can get. I think that's overkill when one has the restore disks, but it would make me happier if I had such backups. So far I cannot get to that point with the programs I have purchased and the ones I have tested.
