Ralph, I think the items listed in your msconfig found in the registry and that's it
(unless someone
corrects me). The way to remove those items in that StartUp list is as follows:

1. Open Regedit and navigate to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run ... or
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunServices ... or
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

You'll find the programs listed in the "Run" or "Run-" or RunOnce" folders.

2. Look at the different "Run" keys to see where the files you want deleted are; then
delete a particular
value or if those are the only programs listed, then delete the Run- key in the left
pane).

3. Easiest way for me is to enter the program name in the find and go from there.
When your results are found, you need to make sure they are under the "RUN" or
"RUNONCE" tree. Under these
two, you will find all the programs listed in msconfig and you can delete what you
wish. (Look under both
entries) ... Harold
