Hi Ben. It was terrifying ..to say the least.. When I opened it.. I saw a grey belt.(like elastic) and it was all twisted..(so.. I quickly opened my other tower(the one that was going back) and it was that way too.. WHEW.. I was scared.. to say the least.. LOL
But I did take out. and then put those memory cards back in.. both of them.. Not a thing I want to do ever again though.. LOL Oh, on a good note, while I was installing Adobe. acrobat .. I was able to type emails, open web pages and do other things.. So I guess thats what that hyperthreading? or whatever it's called . is all about.. Cause I was able to do it easily. with no delays. Oh, and Dell shipped me.. a new keyboard,, new speakers. and another optical mouse. and when I called to say I was returning the tower.. they "informed me". that I had to return those too.. I said,, NOPE.. I didnt' ask for them.. why were they sent?? And then I 'argued a bit'.. LOL.. and guess what. I get to keep the extra keyboard.. the mouse ,and the speakers...YEAH..(not that I need them.. but with my experience with Dell, who knows when something will 'fall apart...LOL Also, they did make good on their promise. I was sent the new software for Microsoft Office Small Business Edition 2003.. with Business Contact Manger(has power point).. At NO CHARGE to me...(they claim it sells for 279.00)... I have the 2002 version.. which I had gotten.. but it didnt' have power point.. So I got this one.. no charge.. So, I've "made out".. a bit.. with Dell.. Hey, for all the aggravation, I'm going thru.. I deserve something.. Right.. LOL Right now. I'm just trying to relax a bit - about all this Dell... This has been one helluva experience.. Thats for sure. Thanks so much for your help.. and for everyones help.. I need you guys and gals.. thats for sure. and without you all..I"d never have gotten thru all this.. Honest. With special thanks.
