Subject: PCWorks: AVG Anti_vir*s..problems.
Based on the approval of members of this list, I downloaded and installed AVG. Much to my disappointment,
the email scanning does not prevent me from getting infections.
After I delete the infected email, if I go to the deleted folder the AV pops up that there is infection in
there. I shied away from Norton when I restored my laptop in hopes of a speedier system.
Any advice?
Thanks.
Jeff
Jeff,
I use EZantivirus, never used Norton or McAfee... I like EZ and it's cheap compared to the others (I pay $10 a year for it).... Well, I just looked at the website (http://www.my-etrust.com/) and it says it's $25 a year - maybe it's $10 a year for renewal... Or, it could be that I've used it since it was beta and I get a discount... I think that the $25/year is still cheaper than the other two, isn't it?
It scans email as well as your computer and autodownloads virus updates as often as you want...
Anyway, I'll put my two cents in and recommend that program (by the way, anyone ever notice that there's no cent sign on a computer keyboard?)

How come nowadays the word "honesty" is generally preceded by the phrase "old-fashioned" ?
