Hello again,

1. Where is this "Enable Thumbnail View" option? In Folder Options > View,
it's 1) "do not show hidden files" or 2) "do not show hidden or system files
" or 3) "show all files" ... nothing specifically about thumbnails. No
matter, I can't understand why when I have the second option (the default
option in Windows 98 as probably in all versions), I see a hidden file
indicated in the Status Bar; when "showing all files" nothing is added to
the window (which I keep in "explore" rather than "open" but that shouldn't
matter).

Even if I inadvertently deleted some file in Favorites (whether outright or
through the registry), if it is not there, it should not be indicated in the
Status Bar. And if it is there, it should be seen when all files are made
visible. This doesn't seem to be effecting the proper working of the
computer; it's just a curiosity.

If it is of any help, I keep neither desktop nor folder in "Web Page" view
(I like to be able to change names of files/folders with that slow double
click without opening anything; a personal preference).

And thank you, Babs, I'll be looking into this page:
http://www.fcs.iastate.edu/computer/tips/thumbs/default.htm ... are you
really as bubbly as your name indicates? Or is it like my Status Bar, in
indication signifying nothing. "It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound
and fury, signifying nothing." I know there is someone famous who said that.

2. Regarding window size, are you saying that there are two types of webpage
shortcut icons? And if yes, why can't I get the second shortcut to always
open to maximize without the need of clicking the middle "square" button in
the upper right hand corner. Btw, what is the name of those buttons? I know
there is one ... Harold

>Try this:Enable Thumbnail view in that folder, then see if thumbs.db shows
up.

> On the Window size deal:
> The first one is IE-here you can determine the window size of Your web

> A web page will open to fully maximized if you click the Square in the
upper
> right corner. Press F11 and you'll get Kiosk mode (Biggest, no toolbars).
> Press F11 again to reduce the size ... Hugh
