Hi all, I'm having this annoying problem with "delayed typing". It only
happens once in a while, not very often yet is extremely annoying. First it
only did it on OE, then it did it once while typing a URL in the address bar,
and also in Notepad. It usually does it ONLY WITH THE FIRST WORD in a
document or where ever I want to type.

This is hard to explain but I'll try. I watch the monitor screen when I type
(since I know how to type). When this happens, I'll try and type "typedword"
and when looking at the screen all I see is for example "typ" even though
I've completed typing "typedword". About 2-3 seconds will go by, then in an
INSTANT the REMAINING previously missing characters of "edword" will just
appear all at once! So, it's like "typ[DELAY]edword". This is only an
example, it sometimes may be earlier or after the first 3 typed characters.

I've wasted many hours on this issue and can't find anything about it by
searching other than this issue with things like Word, Word Perfect, Lotus,
Apple computers, etc. which is not applicable in my case since I don't use
them. I tried turning off "SMART Monitoring" for my HD's. Power Scheme is
set to "Always on" and NOTHING is set to power down or hibernate, suspend,
etc. DirectX is the latest version and patched, and dxdiag shows no
problems. I've also tried changing the location of the pagefile. I have
512mb (2x256mb) dual channel DDR so it's not short on memory. CPU is a P4
3.4ghz HT/800mhz bus 512mb cache so it's not underpowered. My main HD is a
10,000rpm WD740 Raptor, so it's not due to a slow HD. Same keyboard is being
used, it's cordless but with new batteries and I've tried changing channels.
No "sticky keys" are being used. No software has ever been used nor needed
for the keyboard.

This is new format and fresh install of XP Pro, and I use IE as my browser.
This happened before M$ updates, so it's not them causing it and obviously
they didn't fix the problem. The exact same hardware, software & drivers are
installed as before.

Thanks for any info,
-Clint
