Many Thanks to all who replied. Yes I was able to retrieve all 28 programs and their icons from the trash bin. They had been protected by Norton AV. That was a break. I then ran all my security programs and found but one cookie, nothing else. Something surely deleted all my security programs but I got lucky. Thanks So Much. I will now created a new Restore point and save my desktop layout. Thanks Once More, Rocky de Dragon from Florida
