I have a friends computer in my shop that had lots of spyware on it.. I eventually got it removed by running adaware and spybot... I can connect to the Internet using the dial-up, but not my DSL at the shop. With IE, I get page not found..now that I removed the browser hijack... Dial-up works fine. I have the monitors icons in the sytray that show the connection is there and the speed, if I remove the cable, it tells me the cable has been removed. I reinstalled the driver for the Ethernet card, but that didn't help. I reinstalled XP (repaired)and no help.
