On this problem below, I tried another reg file, and still could not FULLY
import it.  I got:

"Cannot import [whatever]: not all data was successfully written to the
registry. Some keys are open by the system or other process".

The exact error I mentioned below was "cannot import [whatever]: error
accessing the registry".

I even tried logging on as the REAL "Administrator" and the same thing
happens.

I just tried to import a registry file on the XP SP2 PC, and it wouldn't
work. I thought I'd restart for the heck of it, and when I did I got a bad
error when the Desktop loaded:

The application, C:\WINDOWS\Explorer.EXE, generated an application error The
error occurred on 09/20/2004 @ 09:39:20.106 The exception generated was
c0000005 at address 7C918FEA (ntdll!RtlpWaitForCriticalSection)

I forgot about the registry problem, and when I was searching for info on
that above, I saw something about that having to do with the registry being
too small! Hmmm, could be related. I found this on how to increase the
registry size:

----------------
To change the maximum size of the computer's registry

1. Open Computer Management (Local)

2. In the console tree, right-click Computer Management (Local), and then
select Properties.

3. On the Advanced tab, click Performance Options, and under Virtual memory,
click Change.

4. Under Registry size, type a new registry size in megabytes in the Maximum
Registry Size (MB) box.

5. You must restart your computer to apply any changes.
------------------------------

Ok, for one, I don't even have the right click and "Properties" area, all
that's there is "General"!! I DO HAVE that "Advanced" area on my SP1
computer, but still nothing regarding changing the registry size! So I went
to the virtual memory area (on both PC's) and there's nothing there about the
registry!

So, how the heck is one supposed to change the registry size? Why isn't that

area on SP2, how do I add it? I've wasted enough time searching for this and
can't find anything on it.
Thank you,
-Clint
