I am having a problem with network printing. I have a site that has two emachine p4 towers running xp home networked to a emachine file server running win 2000 server. There is a epson lq 570e printer parallel attached to the two xp emachines. There is a dos based program made with xbase that is networked to the emachines running xp home that the company prints a receipt from and other files. When ever you print one of these you have to do the print function twice to get it to print. I have changed the Nics on all three machines to netgear 10/100/1000 cards. Put in a 10/100 hub and changed the network cables. I have also selected to print directly to the printer and it is still slow. If you put a windows 98 machine workstation on it prints fine. I have spent too many hours trying to figure this one out and hope someone in the group can help. Any suggestions would be appreciated....TIA...rich ============= PCWorks Mailing List ================= Don't see your post?
