Well...... 1. They could be doing it manually and there's no way to know that; 2. They could have set the History to remember for "0" days; 3. They could have an app installed that clears the History and Index.dat files, and there's no way of knowing that without the name of the program. Two come to mind that do this--"Internet Sweeper" and "IE Privacy Keeper". You can try to search for those on the HD(s). There's dozens of other programs that can do the same thing and without knowing the names of all of them, it would be hard to find them. You could go to the Program Files folder and look at everything that's installed. Before you do any searching & looking make sure you have hidden files shown, and make sure the Windows search is searching hidden files, system files, and "all files and subfolders". These options are accessible in the Windows search under "advanced". -Clint
God Bless Clint Hamilton, Owner http://OrpheusComputing.com ----- Original Message ----- From: "Marlene Coldwell" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Hi Gang, I suspect one of our employees has installed a program to hide their history on one of our company PC's. Other than the obvious..no history, nothing to speak of in the index.dat file..is there a way to tell if a program has been installed, or if they are doing this manually? Running XP.
