Clint,

What I suggest is to check the Outlook Express folder where these "folders"
are stored, to see if it's still there.

Sometimes Outlook Express will ignore such a custom folder even when it's
there and all OK.

If the "folder" (actually they are just long files, each containing a string
of messages) is gone from there, then you may be able to search for it by
searching for some string you know it contains. The search function in
Windows XP seems faily crippled and probably won't find it, but you may have
better luck using something like the freeware "Agent Ransack" which I
believe is very good, though I haven't used it myself.

If the folder is there, you have the problem of getting it recognised again
by Outlook Express.

What I have done in the past is as follows:-

In Outlook Express, create a new folder (it will obvioulsy be given the
default name "New Folder").

Close Outlook Express then navigate to the Outlook Express folder where all
the folders (In Box, Out Box etc) are located. You should see your new file
there called New Folder. Delete it, and rename your own Custom folder to
New Folder.

Open Outlook express again and check the contents of New Folder - should be
the stuff in your Custom Folder.

Within Outlook Express, rename New Folder to whatever you like.

Cheers, John Selby.
