Didn't we discuss this before? :-) How hot one will be is mainly dependent upon its load. **All things being equal** (such as fans, heatsink size, transformers and power transistors values, etc)., the more the load i.e. the closer one is to its max rating, the hotter it will be.
If you compare apples to oranges, like one brand with one fan with another brand of two fans, there's no saying. Some dual fan supplies will run hotter at rest than one of the same wattage with one fan. It depends on the design. -Clint Happy New Year to all & God Bless Clint Hamilton, Owner http://OrpheusComputing.com ) http://ComputersCustomBuilt.com ----- Original Message ----- From: "Vern" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Will a 500 w power supply run hotter or cooler than a 300 w power supply? The 500 one I have has a fan on the front and one on the rear. It is an Ultra ATX. ============= PCWorks Mailing List ================= Don't see your post?
