Peter, They work once you get the hang of it, but if you want to set message filters to apply to all accounts, you have to set them in each account..unless I missed something. I set rules up under local folders(I think it was) and none of them applied until I set the rules up under each email account. I never experienced the difficulties you did with the filters Jeff, I have 9 accounts running through Thunderbird concurrently (down to 8 on Friday).
