It's EasyCleaner, just like I said. If you need it, Hugh gave a link which I
am using to upgrade the one I have. And that coding that showed up in my
posting looks nothing like what shows in the sys file (which I opened in
txt). To duplicate the ten small characters in that code, I would have to go
through Character Maps galore to find them. It certainly does not look like
this: ft Corporation.4=_o~

Interesting that I went to take another look at those C:\dblspace.bin and
C:\drvspace.bin files (and those were only an example of duplicates) and the
content changed. Instead of 10 characters in each, there are 20 times those.
Another mystery of the computer!

Questions 4 and 5, just out of curiosity, why did they change and how does
one get those strange characters into a PCWorks posting?

John says I have some spermatozoon floating around in my computer. I'll be
damned if I have those little swimmers around. Maybe on my keyboard but that
's another matter ;-). As an aside, they say there are more germs found on
the average doorknob than in any other place in the home; I'm sure y'all
know that.

Hugh says --- Easy cleaner is way cool as a registry cleaner, but stay away
from the other features, except the "Unnecessary files" program. You can
actually delete many of the duplicate files, but it's not always easy to
tell which ones (Some bitter experience is involved here). <snip>

> This kind of investigation and experimentation is the absolute best way
for guys like you and me to get under the hood and see what makes these
babies tick. One of these days I expect you to be writing about the new PC
you're building, and then you will have arrived. You can find out more about
Easy Cleaner at --- http://personal.inet.fi/business/toniarts/ecleane.htm

You have to be kidding, Hugh. In February I'll be 75 years old; now when
would you expect "one of these days" to come? One of these days I --- (what'
s your expression, "will have arrived"), I will be sending you questions
from up in that great big Cyberspace in the sky. I have more questions about
THAT than anything regarding the computer. So no more discussion about
"arriving" as I think I will Arrive long before I ever build a new PC (but
even from up there, I'll keep you posted). Question 6: Do they have PC's up
there? --- Harold
