Just my 2 cents worth: I also see the double spacing and the use of the   space tag. Thinking what does this have to do with a question mark. Not sure if this is related but I do know that the question mark is also used to fill the spaces when doing a search in the Find and entering a name that has spaces in it, thus keeping the term together.
