OK, I don't remember if ME has the auto clock setting like XP does. If it doesn't then that of course won't work. Norton has/had a bug that would slow down a PC's clock. Since McAfee has been known for numerous bugs, it's possible it could be doing that as well. If a day is long enough, try and disable it for a day when you're not using your PC (since you won't be protected). Just leave the PC on maybe overnight or so until you think the clock has had enough time to show a slow down.
The mobo battery is usually not going to have any effect on WINDOWS time. So there's probably something in Windows that's causing it. -Clint God Bless Clint Hamilton, Owner http://OrpheusComputing.com ) http://ComputersCustomBuilt.com http://Cloning-Research.com http://CuringDisease.com http://Dow-Jones-Stocks.com (PLEASE include ALL previous correspondence if replying to this email or you will NOT RECEIVE A REPLY!! Sometimes AOL Spyware Protection comes on and scans the drives by itself. Dale ============= PCWorks Mailing List ================= Don't see your post?
