> Windows 98 and 5 y/o HP computer; here's the problem. I have a "Standard
101/102-Key Microsoft Natural Keyboard". It has a knob near the upper right
hand corner that adjusts the volume. When turning this knob, what usually
happens is that a series of green lines appear above the taskbar
pictorially showing the volume, and when turning the knob, the lines
increase or decrease in number from left to right showing the increase or
decrease in volume. Now I notice that the knob still adjusts the volume but
the lines no longer appear. It would be nice to get those lines back, any
ideas? ---Harold

Harold you may have to reinstall the drivers/software for your keyboard.
MS has a download site here

I should have known better. I wasn't sure how to handle the information
required on that page but then realized that the second System Restore CD
that came with this HP has a tab for restoring drivers. That used it and now
the lines are back. Thanks Peter --- Harold
