I found the article, and it was "File Rescue Plus". Awesome 
program.
It's rare that I find a program that REALLY WORKS as it SHOULD, 
and
this one does. It saw ALL of the images on the CF, even after
reformatting it and putting new images on the media. A note 
though,
it's a demo and only will recover TWO images but you can 
preview all
of what it finds.

The January '05 issue of PC World had a "Tips" article on 
recovering
from flash memory. Unfortunately, I don't have the issue in 
front of me,
nor the memory recall to relate it here.
It's bound to be on their Web site, though.
