A Canadian Linux producer, Xandros http://www.xandros.com/ has teamed up
with system builder Microtel http://www.microtelpc.com/ to offer
desktops starting at $69.99. Wow great price, there is no way to compete
with that price :(
But with any great deal there is a catch, with this one you have to be a
new subscriber to Earthlinks premium dial-up service.
I've never used a Microtel pc before but I have used Xandros Linux
before and it is incredibly user friendly. Surprisingly friendly in fact
for a Linux box. I've not used Earthlink either so I cannot vouch for
their service.
Interesting proposition though.
