Definately, I have done this a good number of times with specific backups. I did find that after 6 or so additions (you have to use the Multisession mode), I had some problems with particular brands of disks.

      I think so!  I made a cd-r of MP3's (just a few
mb worth, not even CLOSE to filling a cd) for a guy I
work with a few months ago and it told me that I can
always add more later.
