Hello again, > Some of you guys are so smart that I don't know what I'm doing in the same world with you. Of course, I don't know what Wally is talking about but that's all right. At first I thought he was writing about the United Parcel Service and later I realized it might have something to do with a surge protector. Your technical discussion is really out of my league, but that's all right.--- Harold
> Harold --- Sorry that I confused you and I am sure, many others. Why not call APC at 1-800-800-4272 and ask for a brochure. I am sure that their explanation will clear up the confusion. You could also go to their web site at www.apc.com Wally, regarding that "UPS APC mode" question and your response, I'm never confused when the problems are not mine. Your answer was above my "technical" expertise, and since that doesn't bother me on a personal level, there is no confusion. I'm just amazed at how much you guys, who ask such technical questions and give such technical anwers, know about computers. I accompanied one of my grandsons, age 13, to CompUSA last week and he was well into much that was on display. I was the ignoramus and he was both more interested and more knowledgeable (but only in today's technical matters). I still find it a pain to configure today's TV set. For me, Alvin Toffler's "Future Shock" is NOW. I'm sure this bothers most older people (I'm young, only 75), but then we realize that we know things that you guys might not know (unless you are a modern day DaVinci). So much for confusion; my problems are much simpler. I asked this a few weeks ago and it might have been missed: PROBLEM: Firefox has, under Tools, an Option line. I'd like to create a shortcut to that Options box so I can access it while the browser closed (just like in IE, one can create a shortcut to "Internet Options" that can be used when the browser is closed). How would I do that? Anyone know? ... Harold ============= PCWorks Mailing List ================= Don't see your post?
