I would STRONGLY suggest that you disable the Windows firewall and reactivate the Zone Alarm. Windows firewall is inbound only so that any spyware on your machine will be able to report out. I have two machines, one with xp pro and the other with xp home and used the free version of ZA on both. I also have the windows firewall turned off so that I have control in both directions. Windows will recognize that you have ZA and it should have turned itself off in the first place, but it will not give you the alerts that you have no protection unless you also shut off the ZA.
