Well Ann, obviously it's for Kodak software you have installed.
;-) Yet another piece of software running all the time which
doesn't have to be running until you want to use it. (A word
of advice for ALL software installed; always check Msconfig's
"Start up" tab and uncheck all those boxes you don't need nor
use. AV software, firewalls and the like need to be checked,
but software like image editing, Roxio, and countless others
should be unchecked).

You don't give enough info to say how to really fix the
*problem*, but to fix the *issue* of what's happening now, go
to (run) Msconfig and uncheck the Kodak software's box. If by
some chance it's not there, check your "Start up" folder, it
may be there; and you don't say what OS you're using, so if
it's XP look under "Services" and see if it added a Service in
that list. If it's set to "Automatic", set it manual. But
know that doing that may require you to go back to that area
and manually start it to use the software.

This is all assuming you're seeing the popup after Windows
loads and not when you first boot the PC.

The following error report pops up on my screen every time I
boot up. Can any
of you tell me what it means and how I can fix it? Thanks, Ann
Runner Error (on solid blue line at top.)

Runner file name (Kodak Software Updater.exe) lacks a "_" (the
app id
separator)

OK
