Likely you will get an access point to connect into the network, which
then plugs into your router. Your setup should work fine, unless the
provider in question has any specific issues with your components.

I am after some help with my wireless lan.
I have a netgear DG834GT ADSL2 wireless modem, router,
firewall, 802.11g access point and 4 port ethernet
switch. I dont know what all that means.
I have two PCs running XP with Netgear PCI WG311T
wireless adaptors in each.
I thought I was getting ADSL but turns out my street
doesnt get it.
I have applied for a wireless broadband service which
isnt set up yet. isp is BBnet.
I dont know what sort of modem willcome with that.
I asume it will have an ethernet connection so I was
hoping I will be able to connect it into my router and
still use the wireless network.
Is this going to work? or will I have to get a whole
new wireless network setup?

I haven't failed, I've found 10,000 ways that don't work.
