Hi group. I had a recent problem and was able to find the solution to it
without calling on you all. (You have always been great help to this
80-year-old computer nut.)

I enjoy making slide shows using Windows Movie Maker, which has always been
just above START on my computer. Last week, this program just disappeared
from my computer. I searched EVERYWHERE and was unable to find it. I even
went to the company that makes Windows Movie Maker and tried to download it
but was not successful. I found that I could order a disk online. I tried
this, but was told each time that there was a mistake on my street address and
city. I have lived on this street on this island for almost 50 years!!!!!!

I finally opened a group list and read that several members of that list had
had the same problem. One member offered a solution that worked immediately.

I know that my gurus won't need such info as this, but for our members who
don't know much more than I do about computers, I thought you might one day
need it. Here it is, so copy and save.

1. Right-click on your Desktop and select: NEW and then SHORTCUT
2. In the Create Shortcut window, type in: "C:\Program Files\Movie
Maker\moviemk.exe" and then "Next"
3. In the Next window, type in: Windows Movie Maker, and click "Finish"
4. A Windows Movie Maker shortcut icon will appear on your Desktop.
5. A click on the shortcut will find the program for you.
  Ann
