Ok thanks. I show 126, is that the default amount, or can
anymore be installed from the XP CD? The M$ article doesn't
say how many XP can install via the CD.

Well I tried the XP CD anyway, and I only found TWO font types
on it! They were not in the fonts folder on my HD. So I'd
like know how I ended up with 126 fonts on my HD if the XP CD
only has 2.

(I also noticed something else very annoying, and that's when I
search CD media for something, XP is NOT searching the optical
drive, but my HARD DRIVE instead! It found the fonts on the
CD, I repeat it found fonts **ON THE CD** here, in this path:
C:\Documents and Settings\Test\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\CD Burning\VALUEADD\MSFT\

And when I clicked to open containing folder, the path THEN
was: D:\VALUEADD\MSFT\FONTS . So, I certainly do not
understand that!)

So at any rate, I was only able to install 2 more font types
from the XP CD. Actually, like I said, there's only 2 fonts on
the entire XP CD. Obviously XP installs more than that, so the
fonts must be "encoded" and hidden some way on the CD, maybe in
a .cab file.

I opened the PDF file again in the (old) Adobe editor and the
fonts it's "complaining" about are "SSPIEK+futura-medium", I
don't know what that "SSPIEK" is, but I have heard of
futura-medium and I don't see any futura in my font folder. I
guess a starting point would be to search for some free
futura-medium fonts.
Thanks Tom,
