Summary: [hid] generates two events for each key pressed

Initial Comment:
On Ubuntu 10.04 LTS and Arch Linux with Pd-extended 0.42.5, [hid] version 0.7 
generates two key events for each key pressed. Sometimes the events also arrive 
in a non-consecutive order, eg:
