Number and symbol boxes look incomplete. Angled connections are not rendered.
Creating and editing patches are impossible due to lack of visual feedback.

*Versions:*
Ubuntu 16.04, 16.10, 17.04
pd vanilla: 0.46.7, 0.47.1
*Hardware:*
HP G42 laptop with an external display through HDMI. Problem persists even
without external display.
Tried running a virtual machine with ubuntu 17.04 on the same laptop and
installed pd. Everything looked ok.
