It makes it harder for forks of Pd not based on tcl/tk to understand and take some of the name that it supports (and it supports several ones with fancy names, like "mistyrose"). Also, iemguis should use Pd's colors as default, and they currently don't understand such names. So it seems best, at least for now, to just allow people to use only hex colors starting with "#". We can open up for more options later. I might do this in this PR I'm telling you about if I find the time. I'll let you know. cheers >
