[PD-dev] help on why completion plugin fails now in 0.56

Hi, the completion-plugin used to work fine until 0.55, but now it's
failing, at least on macOS, and the error below is given

Any idea on what might have changed in Pd 0.56 to affect this plugin?

I simply have no idea how to fix it...
