what i know is that [joystick] outputs numbers between zero and
one on two

with a horizontal slider that represents a circle. this horizontal
slider outputs
values from 0-360 each representing a point on a circle.
i dont know if i made my problem any clearer..
You might be interested in [mapping/polar] which will convert your
x,y coords to polar coords (angle, radius). You could use the angle
for the panning location, and the radius for some kind of distance
algorithm with reverb or something.
