Hi tim, list,
Debian is :
crw-rw---- 1 root root 13, 64 2006-12-04 20:02 event0
crw-rw---- 1 root root 13, 65 2006-12-04 20:02 event1
crw-rw---- 1 root root 13, 66 2006-12-04 20:02 event2
I remember when I used [hid] a lot I had to :
# chmod a+r /dev/event*
before being able to read anything from it.

hi hans,
i'm just curious ... on gentoo the permissions for the /dev/input/eventX
devices are set to 600, so they are not available for the ordinary
user ...
is this a specific bug/feature of gentoo? did you experience anything
like this on other distributions?
