i'm reformulating this question,
knowing that pdp_raw can get the input
of mplayer if you follow this mini-howto
( de S.Moreno and L.gOmez ):

this is how to get a ogg/theora stream into pd using mplayer.
i think it would be possible to do the same with an ip camera no?
anybody ever tested it ?
( getting the ip cam stream with mplayer )..
on a side note, i had good success
setting up an edirol fa-101 with fedora core,
this is just to start the year with one good news..
