As Thomas implicitly suggests, it is often easiest to arrange your clips with names and directories which your "database" (i.e. [textfile], [coll], the iem_matrix objects etc) can easily point to, such as:
/home/donal/clips/slow/ ---------------------------------clip1.mov ---------------------------------clip2.mov ---------------------------------clip3.mov ---------------------------------clip4.mov /home/donal/clips/bw/ ---------------------------------clip1.mov ---------------------------------clip2.mov ---------------------------------clip3.mov ---------------------------------clip4.mov /home/donal/clips/red/ ---------------------------------clip1.mov ---------------------------------clip2.mov ---------------------------------clip3.mov ---------------------------------clip4.mov etc etc etc.... The [sprintf] object is very powerful for making filenames with different directories and other variables, have a look at it! best, d.
