there is also [iem_image] in the iemgui library, which I think has 
slightly more features.
from a graphical UI viewpoint the knobs do not really look good. nor 
does the bang. but in general I like the idea of more abstractions like 
this. btw, I was surprised to see that images work on GOPs!
