Dark matter is just any old stuff in the dark.
What you want is a lump of this stuff; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neutron_star It's just light enough not to collapse space. Ignoring that it wouldn't exist out of context, you couldn't separate it from the collapsed star, and no surface on Earth would support it against just sinking into the core, you could have a lot of fun, like posting a bit collect paid in an envelope to people you don't like.
