Do you mean that wish store the image with the same filename each time?
If it's that, on Linux, i've been sending a message
"rm /home/myhomedir/pathtojpegs/*.tif" to "motex/system" before saving a
tif file with pix_writer (and pix_write). That way it's always named
image00000.tif
