We don't know what OS you're on. If it's Mac OSX (which it sounds like), you need to delete the resume windows state or better yet disable resume state for Pd altogether: http://puredata.info/docs/tutorials/HowToTurnOffResumeWindowsForPDOnMacOSX107Lion
