Attached is a simple patch that reads sound file data from an array with tabread4~.
Does someone know why the result is so noisy? Please try with this sound file (96k 24bit): https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/47945259/test.aif. It sounds like some sort of extreme quantisation noise. But maybe I've missed something in the patch. I'm on the latest version of pd vanilla on os x 10.7.5.
